What we are doing to help prevent the spread of COVID-19

We want to help all those in need of a place to rest their head as we begin to reopen the economy in the easing of UK lockdown. To do this, we have brought in several measures to do our part in preventing any further spread of the Corona virus.

  • Rooms without ensuite facilities will have dedicated bathroom facilities. We are still offering our 'shared bathroom' rates, but there will only ever be one guest allocated to one bathroom while the virus is still present. This will also allow us to rotate the use of rooms so guests will never stay in a room that has been occupied the previous night by another person, regardless of their regular cleaning. 

  • We ask that all guests vacate the premises  between the hours of 11am and 4pm to allow for thorough cleaning to take place in rooms, hallways and communal spaces. We ask for the property to be empty of all guests during this time to minimise the number of people in the building at any one time, reducing risk of transmission to our staff and other guests. Our cleaning staff will be wearing masks on shift, as well as washing their hands between rooms and maintaining social distancing.  

  • We are unable to allow guests access to the kitchen, or provide communal food as we did previously. We are located a stones throw away from many shops and takeaways that you can purchase food from.  

  • We will be providing hand sanitiser at the front doors and there will be soap in every room, as well as reminders to wash your hands.

  • Check-ins will be handled remotely. Our managers live on-site so are here in the case of an emergency, but we will be sending comprehensive instructions via email or text message to guests so they can let themselves in and find their room. Any questions should be handled over the phone, and payments should be taken online, we will not be handling cash.

  • We will not be accepting walk-ins. If you would like to book a room, please do so via the website or one of our online travel agents, such as Booking.com. This way we will have all guest details and can manage bookings remotely.   

  • Signage will be displayed throughout the building, reminding people of these measures.
